Primavera Sound 2013

Tomorrow, Primavera Sound kicks off for its 12th edition! Primavera Sound is a very big urban festival that is known worldwide. It is not just the standard festival, but it offers a wide variety of activities, and the best part is: some of them are free!

The 6 main stages of Primavera Sound are located in the Parc del Fòrum in the district of Poble Nou. Many international artists will perform from May 22th to May 26th. Some of the big names are The Vaccines, Foxhound and Grizzly Bear. But it doesn’t stop there: there are a lot of extra activities, for young and old, to be found all over the city.

For the seventh year in row, Primavera Sound sets up a special stage for young children, called minimúsica, to stimulate their musical education. During the weekend, there are also free activities for them in Parc de la Ciutadella. Other aspects of the festival include Primavera als Clubs, which offers additional concerts in different clubs in Barcelona, and PrimaveraPro, an international meeting between professionals to promote the music industry.

And now comes the best part: free stuff! The 6th edition of Primavera al Parc offers you some free concerts in the beautiful Parc de la Ciutadella on Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26th. Film lovers can also enjoy music documentaries from the cinema festival In-Edit, which has joined Primavera Sound three years ago.

It is a really big event, so don’t miss this chance to see some great international artists! And for those who cannot get enough of it, Primavera Sound expands its horizons for the second time with Optimus Primavera Sound, which will take place in Porto from May 30th to June 1st.
