F.C. Barcelona have announced that Sampdoria will be the opponent in the next edition of Joan Gamper trophy, which will be played on August 20 at the Camp Nou just a couple of days after the league have started. The club wanted to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the victory at Wembley in the European Cup with the dream team de Johan Cruyff.
Since its inception in 1966, FC Barcelona hosts its famous football friendly tournament “Joan Gamper Trophy”, named for the founder and president of the club for many years Hans Gamper.
