Holi Festival of Colours

Although the real Holi Festival has been celebrated in April, a new edition will take place this Saturday.

The Holi Festival is an Indian tradition, one of the most important celebrations of the country, to celebrate the end of the winter and the start of Spring. It is also a celebration of freedom and offers anyone the chance to be igual during some days. No matter if you’re young or old, rich or poor, you won’t notice the difference.

Why? Because of the colours! During these days, coloured power is thrown everywhere and the place turns into one big modern painting. This Indian tradition became popular in Europe some years ago and started in Berlin. In Barcelona, it has been celebrated for the 3rd time this year.

And Holi Festival is back now! The Holi Festival of Colours offers visitors the chance to enjoy live music and DJ’s and to get colourful, literally! You can buy the coloured powder at the festival and have fun colouring your friends.

  1. Hi, thanks to share information about Holi. Millions of Hindus from India and elsewhere celebrate Holi, the festival of colors. Holi celebrations begin with ‘Holika Dahan,’ the burning of a bonfire, meaning the victory of good over evil.
