The Montjuic Hill which overlooks the city of Barcelona is a real green area in the city. The hill is about 213 meters height and houses several touristic places since the site hosted the International Exposition in 1929 and the Summer Olympics in 1992.

The Anella Olímpica (in Catalan) is an Olympic Park was the main site for the 1992 Summer Olympics. The major facilities consist of the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, the Palau Sant Jordi sports hall, the telecommunications tower, the National Physical Education Institute and the Picornell swimming pools. The Sports Museum is also located in the Olympic Ring.
– THE CASTLE :
Montjuïc Castle is a former military fortress which dated from 1640 and built in the top of the hill and dominates Barcelona. During the 20th century, the castle became a military museum. In June 1963, Francisco Franco inaugurated the Military Armor Museum, the official name given to the institution. You can reach it with the Barcelona cable car which will offer you a great trip and an amazing view over Barcelona.

First, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc situated below the Palau Nacional are amazing sound and light shows with the fountains. They were built for the International Exposition. Then, the Poble Espanyol which is an architectural museum, it was built in 1929, too as a synthesis of architectural and cultural of Spainish village.
