37th El Corte Inglès Race

The famous Corte Ingles run race will take place on Sunday 12th April 2015 for its 37th edition.

The run will start at 9.30am and the participants will run the 10,8 kilometers through the main streets of Barcelona.

This event is totally free. The number of yellow chip runners is limited to 10,000. For runners without the yellow chip there is no limitation.

The distance and the circuit, which is officially recognized by the Catalan federation, will include, as each year, the traditional lap of the Montjuic Olympic Stadium. The finish line is positioned, as always, in Plaça Catalunya.

This run race is one of the most popular cities run race in Europe, one of the oldest on the international calendar and one of the biggest in terms of numbers of participants. For its 36th edition in 2014, more than 73,000 runners turned up at the starting line.

This edition is full of innovations; the most important one is that each runner will have a bib number that incorporates a chip that allows the runner to get an exact reference of the running time

The course is open to everyone but for the athletes who run with their own timing chips the organization offers control measures. Most of the participants used the race run as a festive day. They come with friends and family and even with their pets. The good weather allows the runners to enjoy a good moment of outdoor sport.

In order to get the diploma of Corte Inglès Run Race and the different trophies awarded per category (women/men and birth date), it is necessary to finish the run race and having passed all the different time controls established along the circuit.
